Is-sinjal għal KOMPONIMENT jew ESSAY għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għall-ittra E bil-pala tħares ’il barra. (ii) Imbagħad, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 u tieqaf fuq quddiem bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 laxka u titla’ u tinżel malajr livell taħt il-ħalq.
The sign for ESSAY or COMPOSITION has two parts. (i) First the sign for the letter E is made with the palm facing outwards. (ii) Then, one hand is held stationary at the front in the shape of 5 with palm facing upwards. The other hand takes the shape of loose 5 and moves quickly up and down at below mouth level.
